Role Purpose
The Drilling Materials Coordinator is responsible for managing all drilling-related materials and equipment logistics for offshore operations. This includes planning, tracking, and coordinating the movement of goods between supply bases, rigs, and vendors, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Materials Management
- Maintain accurate inventory of drilling materials and consumables in Kabal system.
- Prepare and update load lists, manifests, and shipping documentation for all rig movements.
- Track rental equipment and ensure timely return to vendors.
Logistics Coordination
- Liaise with supply base, vendors, and offshore teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate shipments to/from rigs, including dangerous goods compliance (IMDG/IATA).
Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure all transactions are recorded in Kabal and other company systems.
- Generate daily and weekly inventory and movement reports.
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to HSE standards and warehouse manuals.
- Ensure proper packing, labeling, and certification for hazardous materials.
Ad-hoc Duties
- Support special projects and act as Supply Base representative when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in materials/logistics coordination for drilling operations.
- Proficient in Kabal inventory management system.
- Knowledge of drilling equipment and offshore logistics.
Certifications:
- IATA & IMDG for dangerous goods handling.
- Forklift operation and rigging/slinging (preferred).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Malaysian customs and import/export regulations.
