The ECOM Database Engineer is responsible for the initial setup, preparation, maintenance, internal auditing, and close-out of the Project Completions Database (ECOM) during the execute phase. You will ensure database integrity and performance while adhering to Project HSSE and Quality Plans.

Responsabilities:

  • Maintain ECOM databases, ensuring optimal performance and scalability to support project and operational needs.

  • Monitor database health, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and data integrity.

  • Develop and optimize database queries, scripts, and stored procedures for efficient data handling and reporting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ECOM databases with other operational systems.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including schemas, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in database systems and lead initiatives to enhance performance and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in database engineering, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.

  • Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).

  • Knowledge of ECOM systems and their integration in Oil & Gas operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.

  • Analytics and Reporting experience

  • IT Tools and Applications knowledge

  • Inspection, Testing, Commissioning, and Monitoring
