ELECTRICAL INSTRUCTOR

We are working with our client based in Qatar to source a ELECTRICAL INSTRUCTOR This is residential contract to be based in Qatar.


Qualification:

Experience:

  • 4 years of full-time, diversified Oil and Gas Operations experience, including 2 years in a training capacity.
  • Extensive experience in Operations or Maintenance of Oil & Gas facilities.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • High computer literacy with extensive knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS SharePoint.
  • Advanced organizational and planning skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical training and competency programs to ensure Operations Group Departments’ staff have the right capabilities and skills to operate and maintain company facilities safely and effectively.
  • Develop and deliver in-house technical training, simulator training, and competency programs to meet Operations Group departments’ requirements for staff technical competencies.
  • Analyze training and competency needs to design and implement customized classroom training and simulator troubleshooting scenarios, enhancing technical skills for Operations and Maintenance personnel, including National Trainees and Graduates.
  • Provide on-the-job training to Operations and Maintenance staff, Trainees, and Graduates, ensuring effective transfer of technical knowledge and skills between coaches, field employees, and trainees.
  • Conduct procedures assessments for Operations and Maintenance staff, covering theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and field expertise.
  • Implement staff onboarding programs in coordination with Line Supervision to ensure readiness to operate and maintain allocated areas, units, and equipment.
  • Conduct simulator training on plant models, enhance process simulator materials, and develop customized troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Implement specific metrics to identify measurable learning objectives that meet company requirements for staff readiness to start up new facilities.
  • Ensure Process Safety and IIF (Incident and Injury-Free) culture components are effectively embedded in all technical training programs.
  • Prepare reports for the Lead and Head of Training, discuss training outcomes with line supervision, and develop customized individual technical training interventions to bridge competency gaps.
