Electrical Material Engineer

Location: Nanterre, France
Contract Type: 12 months (extendable)
Expected start date: April 2026

Role Overview

The Electrical Material Engineer will support the engineering team by managing the full lifecycle of electrical material requisitions. This includes preparing technical documentation, evaluating vendor proposals, supporting procurement activities, and ensuring technical compliance throughout equipment delivery. The role requires strong coordination skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue electrical engineering deliverables, including technical specifications, datasheets, material requisitions, scopes of supply, inspection and test plans, and schedules.
  • Issue requisitions for inquiry and purchase in coordination with internal teams and partners.
  • Review vendor proposals for technical compliance and prepare bid tabulations.
  • Manage the technical follow?up of purchase orders, ensuring quality, schedule adherence, and technical conformity.
  • Review and comment on vendor documentation and respond to technical clarifications.
  • Support procurement teams during purchase order execution.
  • Review quality control plans (QCP) and test procedures.
  • Participate in FAT activities and provide installation?related equipment data to design teams.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and maintain interface management.
  • Report progress, highlight blocking points, and identify missing information.
  • Populate SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) with required vendor data.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical equipment design within industrial or energy sectors.
  • Proven experience in vendor technical follow?up, progress monitoring, and schedule analysis.
  • Strong understanding of engineering workflows and IEC standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, including technical documentation.
