Our major client is seeking an Electrical Reliability Engineer to join their team in Corpus Christi, TX for a 12-month assignment.

Our client is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a contract reliability engineer supporting the Electrical Reliability Team at our Corpus Christi Refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas. The role will focus on scopes related to electrical system reliability, SKM model updates, arc flash analysis, and maintenance support. 




Responsibilities:


Electrical Modeling & Analysis:

  • Develop and update relay packages to support maintenance activities, including documentation of as-found conditions.
  • Perform SKM model updates (preferred software: SKM Powertools), including first-pass updates for base systems, projects, and revalidation efforts.
  • Conduct arc flash studies and relay coordination evaluations to support maintenance and safety compliance.

Power Monitoring Systems:

  • Work with power monitoring systems (preferred: Schneider Electric’s Power Monitoring Expert, PME), including device configuration, alarm management, and troubleshooting.

Equipment Reliability:

  • Provide support for transformer reliability and testing, including analysis of transformer oil sampling for asset health.
  • Support reliability efforts for switchgear and motor control centers (MCCs).

Investigations & Root Cause Analysis:

  • Participate in investigations and root cause failure analyses (RCFAs), using tools such as CauseLink. Training will be provided as needed, and this responsibility may be optional depending on resource availability.
