Electrical Supervisor (OFFSHORE)
Coordinate offshore brownfield, shutdown, and hook?up electrical activities on behalf of the Company, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, integrity, and overall project objectives.
Work closely with internal teams and contractors to support efficient execution and commissioning, delivering operational excellence during offshore phases.
Job Context & Major Challenges
- Role is part of a major offshore development program involving new facilities, tie?ins, and modifications across multiple existing platforms.
- Requires strong electrical technical expertise to guide contractors during hook?up, brownfield SIMOPS, shutdown preparation, and execution.
- Must maintain continuous communication with operations teams throughout all SIMOPS, shutdown, and hook?up activities.
- Manage multiple internal and external interfaces, requiring effective communication, flexibility, and strong collaboration.
- Participate in daily offshore coordination meetings and enforce strict adherence to Company safety and quality requirements.
- Ensure sufficient resources and technical support for efficient execution within planned timelines.
- Maintain consistency and quality across brownfield and hook?up processes, systems, and deliverables.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Follow all safety and quality protocols during offshore execution.
- Coordinate successful offshore brownfield and hook?up execution, including commissioning, to meet priorities (safety, quality, asset integrity, schedule).
- Supervise contractor and subcontractor activities related to execution, mechanical completion, pre?commissioning, and commissioning.
- Review constructability and ensure deliverables meet all technical requirements.
- Detect and resolve technical issues, deviations, or problems.
- Liaise with contractor teams to ensure progress tracking and reporting.
- Oversee PTW (Permit to Work) coordination and ensure strict compliance with approved method statements and safety analyses.
- Report any non?compliance with Company rules and standards.
- Strengthen safety culture offshore and close all assigned safety actions.
- Participate in lessons learned and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications (Mandatory)
- Higher National Diploma (or equivalent)
Knowledge and/or Experience
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in large offshore or construction-related projects (construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook?up).
- Experience with major operators, contractors, service providers, or heavy offshore construction companies.
- Knowledge of design standards, codes, specifications, and safety requirements related to fabrication, offshore installation, brownfield execution, commissioning, and hook?up.
- Familiarity with offshore facilities, structures, and operational environments.
- Understanding of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG-related environments.
- Experience in large-scale operational organizations across operations, projects, or subsurface functions.
