Role Overview

  • Conduct OGI (Optical Gas Imaging) Surveys using an infrared FLIR Camera to detect leaks.
  • Perform AVO (audio, visual, olfactory) Surveys to ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Execute inspections with a general understanding of normal operating conditions and inspect with integrity.
  • Utilize various applications for planning, tracking, and recording information effectively.
  • Take ownership of assigned workload while diligently adhering to timelines.
  • Ensure safe and environmentally compliant operations of all company-owned or rental compressors, gas-driven generators, and VRUs.
  • Support the preparation, installation, and startup of new emissions control equipment.
  • Oversee new site construction, layout, and piping needs.
  • Monitor and optimize existing units for efficiency.
  • Set up tracking tools to analyze and document performance metrics such as runtime, mechanical availability, fuel consumption, throughput, and environmental compliance.
  • Assist lease operators and production foremen with related issues.
  • Review vendor invoices and confirm correct charges for both rate and performance metric corrections.
  • Document all incidents or abnormal operations to the supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Emissions Control: Knowledge of emissions control practices and regulations.
  • OGI Surveys: Experience with Optical Gas Imaging technology.
  • AVO Surveys: Familiarity with audio, visual, and olfactory inspection techniques.
  • Emissions Control Equipment: Understanding of gas engine-driven generators and vapor recovery units (VRUs).
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements.

Education & Experience

  • Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training preferred.
  • Experience: Entry-level position typically requiring 0-3 years of experience in emissions control or related fields.
