Our client is seeking a Field Operator to work within their facilities located in Spring, TX on a 12-month assignment (with possibility of extension / becoming permanent).
Responsibilities
- Implement daily work objectives, safety, health, environmental, and security protocols.
- Participate actively in daily toolbox meetings and regular safety meetings.
- Identify and implement corrective actions through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment.
- Function as Equipment Care Technician, performing routine maintenance activities.
- Report any issues with alarm, emergency, or emergency shutdown systems.
- Provide clear and accurate shift change information to ensure operational continuity.
- Coordinate and monitor maintenance jobs according to planning.
- Log all relevant operational events and abnormal situations continuously.
- Engage in emergency response activities and report incidents as per guidelines.
- Maintain communication with the Operations Shift Supervisor regarding operational activities.
- Ensure thorough diagnostics of well problems before requesting intervention operations.
- Maintain wellhead and surface equipment in good working order prior to intervention operations.
- Support ongoing Wellwork operations as needed.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as Control Room Operator (5yrs I&E or 5yrs Production Lease Operator)
- Control Room specific systems (i.e SCADA)
