Our client is seeking a Line Locator to work within their facilities located in Carlsbad, NM on a 12-month assignment (with possibility of extension / becoming permanent).
Responsibilities
Use specialized equipment to locate and mark underground oil, gas, and water pipelines.
Interpret and understand utility maps, blueprints, and diagrams to accurately locate utilities.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
Document and report findings accurately.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to prevent damage to utilities.
Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of and experience with utility locating equipment.
Ability to read and interpret utility maps, blueprints, and diagrams.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Education & Experience
High School Diploma
Previous experience as a line locator, particularly in the oil and gas industry.
