Overview
We’re working with a US-based industrial services company entering the Asia Pacific market. As General Manager APAC - this is a rare opportunity to be the first regional hire, establishing operations, building a team, and driving strategic growth.
The company specialises in Industrial Cleaning and Surface Preparation, with core clients in Power Generation, Defence, Petrochemical and Manufacturing. Showing consistent year-on-year growth, they’re now expanding into Australia and the broader region.
You will be responsible for launching and scaling the business across the region. You’ll lead sales and operations, manage key client relationships, and oversee service delivery standards and safety targets.
Location- Remote with Travel (Must be based in an Australian capital city)
Duration- Permanent, Full-time
Salary- ~$200,000 - $220,000 (negotiable) + Super + Bonus + Private Health
Bonus- 1% of regional turnover (0.5% increase every $1m USD)
Bonus On-Target Earnings of approx AUD$100k+ by Year 2
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategy aligned with global goals, achieving performance targets and analyse market trends
Act as the initial sales lead for Australia and NZ
Build and manage a regional team (5–6 direct reports across Asia)
Own regional P&L and financial performance
Drive business development and long-cycle sales engagements
Ensure quality, safety, and service delivery standards
Represent the company at industry events, conferences
Travel up to 50% throughout APAC region and occasionally to HQ in US.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline
Proven experience in regional leadership roles with an ability to manage remote teams across multiple countries (displaying an understanding of cultural differences)
History of B2B sales / business development
Familiarity with long-cycle sales processes
Sector knowledge of large scale facilities in sectors such as:
Power Plants
Defence Facilities
Refineries, Steel Mills
Petrochemical / Process
Manufacturing and FMCG
Data Centres
