We’re hiring a Geotechnical Construction Supervisor for a top-tier mining EPCM. This role provides hands-on geotechnical support during construction, ensuring works are delivered in line with approved designs, specifications, and quality requirements, while responding to variable ground conditions and borrow materials on site.
Role Details
- Contract: 12 months
- Location: Pilbara
- Roster: 2:1 (11.5-hour days)
- Mobility: FIFO
Key Responsibilities
- Provide geotechnical support and supervision across earthworks and haul road pavements
- Conduct site inspections and verify ground conditions against design assumptions
- Assess material suitability and performance during construction
- Review compaction, density, and laboratory testing results
- Document daily geotechnical observations and reports
- Identify and escalate unexpected ground conditions and construction risks
- Provide practical technical advice to project teams and contractors
- Collaborate with office-based geotechnical specialists and the wider project team
Ideal Experience
- Geotechnical construction support or supervision
- Strong understanding of earthworks, borrow materials, and haul road construction
- Ability to interpret geotechnical designs, specifications, and test results
- Experience on large-scale construction or mining projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
