Position: Handover Coordinator
Role Purpose

The Operations Readiness & Handover Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring projects are fully prepared for safe, efficient start-up and seamless transfer to the Producing Asset. The position coordinates the implementation of Operations Readiness Processes, including development of the Operations Readiness Plan (ORP), tracking Roadmap deliverables, and managing the Project-to-Producing-Asset (P-to-PA) handover process.

This role requires excellent coordination, documentation discipline, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Readiness & Planning

  • Coordinate the development, review, and approval of Operations Readiness Plans (ORPs) for assigned projects.
  • Analyse approved ORPs and establish Roadmap deliverables, tracking sheets, and documentation structure.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Operations Readiness and Roadmap charts with inputs from project teams and stakeholders.
  • Manage the ORP Deliverables Master File, ensuring proper data connectivity, file accessibility, and system functionality.

Stakeholder Management & Governance

  • Facilitate regular coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders to review progress and resolve issues.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc readiness progress reports and dashboard updates.
  • Ensure standardized deviation processes are applied when changes occur and maintain deviation records.
  • Work closely with focal points to ensure timely submission of close-out evidence and follow up on overdue deliverables.

Handover & Documentation

  • Support development, review, and approval of P-to-PA handover dossiers and Operational Acceptance Certificates (OAC).
  • Ensure documentation meets corporate requirements and supports a smooth transfer to the permanent organization.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in Operations Readiness and Handover processes to support a growing and complex project environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Quality, anti-trust, and company firewall policies.
  • Support the Qatarization Program and contribute to capability building for Qatari employees.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of multi-disciplinary experience in the oil & gas industry, covering areas such as project coordination, planning, reporting, and administration.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and capable of managing multiple data sources and documentation systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate with cross-functional, multinational teams.
