HEALTH & SAFETY SUPERVISOR

Role Overview
Support EPcmC staff and contractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of pipeline and associated facilities.
Provide on-the-job training and coaching to local personnel, coordinating with training providers for effective performance monitoring.
Implement and communicate safe work practices across project sites.
Mentor project teams on HSE principles, promoting a culture of 'Life' and Zero Harm.
Engage with project leadership to clarify HSE roles and responsibilities.
Coordinate with Project R3 for cross-functional engagement.
Ensure compliance with HSE management systems and processes.
Review contractor HSE procedures and documentation for compliance.
Advise site supervision and field engineers on their HSE responsibilities.
Approve contractor HSE documents such as SMP, SOPs, and WMS.
Direct surveillance and inspection activities of H&S advisors.
Inspect HSE activities of contracted inspection services.
Monitor construction progress against agreed HSE KPIs.
Update databases with HSE reports and compliance audit results.
Participate in inspections, assessments, and incident investigations as required.
Attend regular project meetings to verify HSE metrics and KPIs.
Perform inspections of equipment/materials/installations for HSE compliance.
Work within a multicultural framework, providing ethical support and mentoring exemplary behavior regarding HSE.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience with proprietary management systems and desktop applications for project delivery.
Competency in industry applications such as Assure, OMIE, Aconex, SharePoint, Adobe, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Knowledge of safety compliance, risk controls, and site HSE hierarchy.
Strong focus on meeting key project deliverables and HSE objectives.
Understanding of HSE management systems & ISO 31000 requirements.
Knowledge of root cause analysis (RCA) and data-driven decision-making.
Proficiency in interpreting HSE plans, policies, and regulations.
Excellent communication skills to articulate safety concerns effectively.
Experience working with multicultural contractors and reporting their HSE performance.
Staff management experience with knowledge of mentoring techniques.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of HSE study preferred.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualifications supporting HSE management for construction execution.
Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in a HSE related field.
In the absence of a degree, eight (8) years of related HSE experience with appropriate safety certifications in oil and gas industries.
Eight (8) years of HSE experience within a cross-functional oil & gas pipeline project team.
