Join our dynamic team as an HSE Lead, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safety and health excellence in the mining industry. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to implement and enhance HSE management plans while working onsite.
Role Overview
- Ensure compliance with the project safety management plan and Hidden Valley site HSE policies.
- Assist the construction contractor in obtaining necessary work permits.
- Collect HSE statistics and generate project HSE reports.
- Monitor site safety performance and implement improvements as required.
- Participate in risk assessments, safety audits, incident investigations, and other HSE-related activities.
- Manage training and induction requirements for the contractor and project team.
- Drive continuous improvement of project safety performance.
- Collect and report environmental data as required by the project.
- Conduct incident investigations and implement findings from investigations.
Education & Experience
- Post school HSE qualification (Essential)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in mining or construction environment as a safety officer (Essential)
- PNG driver's license (Desirable)
