Airswift is looking for an I&E Construction Manager to support one of our major chemical manufacturing clients in Etowah, TN for a 1-year contract position.
The purpose of the I&E Construction Manager role is to lead the installation activities associated with the ETO - DCS Upgrade project. This role will provide contractor management, field coordination and oversight of the installation of DCS equipment and controls infrastructure during the execution of this project.
The I&E (Instrumentation and Electrical) Construction Manager oversees the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and control systems for instrumentation and controls projects. This position will ensure project implementation is completed on time, within budget, and compliant with safety protocols. This role involves contractor management, project scheduling, and technical problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities:
- Field Management: Direct daily construction activities, including contractor supervision, inspection coordination, and site safety compliance.
- Project Controls: Monitor project schedules, progress, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Technical Oversight: Ensure all electrical, instrumentation, and automation components are installed according to engineering designs and specifications.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce company and regulatory HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) standards, participating in audits.
- Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field operations to align on scope, constructability, and material procurement.
- Documentation: Maintain project records, documentation, and manage contractor change orders.
Required Skills:
- Experience: Significant experience in industrial construction, specifically with I&E systems in industries like oil & gas.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical codes, instrumentation installation, and technical schematics.
- Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with PLC systems, SCADA, and field instruments.
