We are seeking a skilled Instrument Maintenance Technician III to join our team in the oil and gas industry, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing instrumentation systems for production equipment.
Role Overview
- Plan, update, and oversee activities in compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.
- Encourage teamwork between operations, engineering, and project groups.
- Review control specifications and work practices.
- Manage control systems as defined in the Work Management Manual.
- Apply and follow work permits through the Permit To Work System (PTWS).
- Ensure quality and timely completion of maintenance work.
- Develop personal and team technical skills related to regulations and equipment.
- Conduct technical meetings to keep technicians informed of specifications and technology.
- Maintain open communication on control issues with co-workers.
- Support work prioritization to maximize effectiveness.
- Provide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting of instrument systems.
- Generate Management of Change requests (MOCs) for control-related equipment.
- Inspect new installations for consistency with mission and recommend upgrades.
- Act as a stand-in for the Instrument Lead position as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with regulations applicable to oil and gas operations.
- Knowledge of OIMS systems, related manuals, and procedures.
- Safety-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficient computing skills.
Education & Experience
- Associates degree and technical certifications required.
- Experience in maintaining Instruments and Controls in processing or offshore production plants.
