Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT - Computer Engineering to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Information and Communication Technology systems on a major marine infrastructure construction project. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless communication, data management, and IT infrastructure performance across the project site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical IT support across project sites and offices, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Manage and maintain project management systems, databases, and digital documentation platforms.
- Support engineering teams with IT tools for design, planning, and execution (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM, Primavera).
- Ensure cybersecurity protocols are implemented and followed across all systems.
- Assist in system integration between construction software and enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, procurement systems).
- Monitor and optimize network performance and ensure reliable connectivity at remote construction sites.
- Collaborate with technical office engineers to support data analysis, reporting dashboards, and digital workflows.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on IT systems and digital tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support or systems engineering, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with marine construction environments is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with project collaboration tools, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with marine or heavy civil construction projects is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to be based full-time on-site in Oman.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Valid passport and ability to travel as required.
