Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist IV to ensure software deliverables meet the highest industry standards. This role requires designing and executing automated test plans, analyzing system requirements, running regression test scenarios, and tracking key QA metrics. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), modern testing methodologies, and automated testing tools. The specialist will collaborate with cross functional teams in an Agile environment, driving continuous improvements in software quality and QA processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional and regression testing.
- Analyze, interpret, and validate system requirements and documentation.
- Design automated test plans using industry standard tools and frameworks.
- Conduct regression, integration, unit, system, and black box testing for each release cycle.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and end users throughout the SDLC.
- Execute SQL queries to validate data across test environments.
- Track and report on quality assurance metrics and test progress.
- Support continuous improvement of QA methodologies, standards, and processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
Basic / Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
- Hands on experience with UFT and/or automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot Framework, JMeter.
- Proficiency in VBScript and scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to design and maintain test automation frameworks.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries for data validation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent collaboration skills within cross functional Agile teams.
- Strong commitment to enhancing QA processes and quality initiatives.
Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Proficiency with test management systems such as Azure DevOps, TestRail, Inflight, Jira, ServiceNow.
- Ability to perform systematic assessments for each product release and detect regression defects.
- Extensive knowledge of application functionality, defect resolution workflows, and testing protocols.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience across all phases of the software and testing lifecycle.
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid project planning and organizational capabilities.
- Working knowledge of Commercial Gas Transmission Pipeline Systems.
- Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.
