Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for critical FPSO packages (e.g., large mechanical and rotating equipment, modular skid fabrications) from order execution to final delivery.
- Ensure vendors meet all quality and inspection requirements in accordance with contractual specifications.
- Coordinate and guide third-party inspection activities for assigned purchase orders, adhering to the “no carry-over work” policy by ensuring all inspection activities are completed before material collection.
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including Package Managers (PKM), Project Procurement Managers (PPM), Expeditors (EXP), and Package Engineers.
- Attend kickoff meetings, conduct pre-inspection meetings, and participate in witness/hold points at vendor premises as required.
- Review vendor ITP documentation and ensure compliance with company and client specifications.
- Develop and maintain Supplier Inspection Plans (SIP) for assigned scopes.
- Ensure timely communication of inspection issues to relevant project personnel.
- Oversee issuance of Inspection Release Certificates, waivers, and punch lists in line with project protocols.
- Monitor third-party and class inspection requirements, ensuring completion prior to release certification.
- Evaluate and approve qualified field inspection personnel and ensure they are familiar with project procedures.
- Review inspection reports, NCRs, release notes, and outstanding work lists for accuracy and completeness.
- Support setup of inspection levels and matrices, maintain inspection trackers, and liaise with certifying authorities and clients.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and client representatives during pre-fabrication, pre-inspection, and FAT activities.
- Monitor HSSE compliance and act promptly on any issues.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in inspection coordination, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry quality standards and inspection requirements for complex equipment.
- At least 5 years of experience handling complex packages (e.g., gas compressors, gas turbines, process modules).
- Field inspection experience is an advantage.
- Certifications such as NACE, NDT, CompEX/IECEx are a plus.
- Strong understanding of quality documentation (ITPs, technical specifications, FAT procedures, manufacturing processes, QA plans).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel periodically for vendor and site support.
