Maintenance Engineer


Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of maintenance engineering for an EPC contract in the oil and gas industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge LNG liquefaction project in Nanterre, France, ensuring compliance and excellence in maintenance operations.


Role Overview

  • Assist the O&M manager in supervising the Maintenance Engineering Scope of Work for the project.

  • Actively participate in all FMECA / RCM workshops with the client and subcontractor.

  • Review and comment on all related maintenance deliverables including asset criticality studies, RCM reports, lubrication registers, maintenance procedures, condition-based maintenance, lifecycle cost models, asset registers, and maintenance manuals.

  • Ensure maintenance-built completeness and consistency for the newly built LNG liquefaction train.

  • Review all maintenance manuals received from vendors for data consistency.

  • Interface with Engineering, Operation, and Process teams when required.

  • Report to and support the O&M Manager.

  • Provide relevant maintenance input to team members as needed.

  • Participate in various meetings (internal and with external stakeholders).

  • Contribute to the development of O&M methods when required.

  • Supervise maintenance activities on site and ensure traceability of all maintenance activities performed on live systems prior to PAC.

  • Ensure top-up of all oil before PAC.

  • Interface with CPY, Vendors, and others as required.

  • Ensure compliance with all HSE requirements and responsibilities.

  • Follow up on consumables and materials to guarantee performance during the interim period for operations.

  • May perform a key role in emergency response leadership and work management.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Good Interpersonal skills.

  • Maintenance Engineering experience (preferably as part of MIEC organization).

  • Proficiency in RCM processes.

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written – English is mandatory.

  • Recognized technical qualification for the position.

  • Engineering degree with experience in operational maintenance activities.

  • Methodological approach to maintenance execution.

  • Ability to work within a multi-discipline integrated project team.

Education & Experience

  • Engineering degree in maintenance management.

  • More than ten years of combined experience in Oil and Gas Maintenance Operations (LNG experience is a plus).

  • Significant experience in Maintenance Engineering development (MIEC preferred).

  • Proficiency in RCM processes ideally performed in multidisciplinary workshops.

  • Working knowledge of troubleshooting process problems and upsets.

  • Knowledge of CMMS (SAP preferred).

  • Relevant experience in LNG industry with experience in operation & maintenance would be an advantage.
