Airswift is seeking a Project Engineer to work at Georgetown- Guyana, on a permanent position with a Oil and Gas Company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide onshore support for the planning and execution of preventive and planned corrective maintenance activities, ensuring timely resource allocation and effective communication with offshore teams.
* Act as the primary onshore contact for breakdowns and troubleshooting, delivering prompt technical assistance to offshore personnel.
* Contribute to annual budget planning by providing input on workforce, materials, and service requirements for maintenance coordination.
* Ensure maintenance activities comply with sector regulations, MODEC guidelines, and internal standards, including the use of the Integrated Management System (IMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Support the effectiveness of process safety barriers by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommending technical actions to maintain operations within ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) levels.
* Promote adherence to maintenance policies and the application of lessons learned to improve reliability and performance.
* Contribute to the planning and execution of equipment and unit shutdowns or decommissioning as required.
* Safeguard compliance with technical specifications and standards by supporting internal audits, identifying deviations, and recommending corrective actions.
* Maintain effective communication and relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
* Participate in offshore visits as required to support maintenance activities and strengthen coordination between onshore and offshore teams.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS?
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
* Minimum 3 years of relevant field experience
* Industry background: Oil and Gas preferred; candidates from Coast Guard or Shipyard environments are also acceptable
* Fluent English
