About the Role
Responsible for coordinating offshore logistics planning and vessel scheduling, ensuring effective communication between offshore and onshore stakeholders. This role supports the Supply Chain Superintendent and acts as a key interface with Qube site supervisors and Vessel Masters to plan and execute operations
Position: Marine Supervisor
Location: Barry Beach Marine Terminal, Agnes
Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months
Work Rotation : 5/2 (Monday – Friday) with some outside hours support/weekend coverage if required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Familiarity with marine operations and compliance standards.
- Experience in offshore logistics, shore base or vessel operations is preferred.
- Seagoing experience on offshore vessels would be advantageous but not essential
- Understanding of inventory tracking and reconciliation processes.
- Digital skills capability and competency with Excel, PowerPoint Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of logistics systems (e.g., Kabal) and ability to support user training.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for offshore logistics planning and vessel scheduling.
- Liaise with offshore and onshore stakeholders to gather information and develop schedules.
- Coordinate with Offshore OIMs regarding Diesel, Methanol, Glycol, and other bulk or deck cargo and backload requirements.
- Proactively plan bulk cargo and bunkering requirements using daily logs to optimize bulk transfers.
- Engage with shore base operator to coordinate vessel movements, berthing and loading requirements.
- Liaises with shore base warehouse for cargo planning and load out requirements
- Distribute approved schedules and required documentation to relevant parties.
- Participate in daily work group calls as required to align logistics with operational needs.
- Reconcile Diesel documentation from shore base and vessels in accordance with Marine Fuel Management Best Practice; maintain records for audit access.
- Champion the use of Kabal and ensure that each user fulfills their role in providing timely accurate data entries in all required fields and functions.
- Compile end of month reporting for shore base lifts and tonnage reports.
- Assist in preparing documents and records to support audits and compliance requirements.
- Provide operations support outside normal business hours on occasions if required.
Interfaces with:
- Qube Operations Supervisor for vessel arrival/departure coordination, cargo loading/unloading, and warehouse-related activities.
- Qube Kabal Administrator for data quality assurance, backend system support, and user training (including Esso offshore roles and vendor roles).
- OIMs, Offshore Maintenance Planners and Supervisors, Wellwork Supervisors for coordination of offshore logistics requirements and timing inputs to deliver vessel scheduling that meets business general interest outcomes.
- Field Superintendents and Well Work Superintendents when required to convene discussions on operational priorities and gaining alignment on general interest outcomes as required.
- Marine Advisor for marine operational, regulatory and technical advice.
- Vessel Masters for coordination of vessel schedule and changes required during a voyage due to operational or technical requirements and weather.
