    Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Commissioning Inspector, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems for a leading player in the industrial sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on-site in Odda, Norway, from December 7, 2025, to January 30, 2026, and make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.


    Role Overview

  • Ensure compliance with local codes of conduct, safety, and security regulations.

  • Accountable for lockout/isolation procedures; ensure completion before leaving the site.

  • Assist site management with damage assessments and delivery completeness.

  • Follow installation recommendations according to the latest approved drawings and manuals.

  • Record and remark installation information (mechanical, electrical, automation) as per manuals.

  • Mitigate or eliminate hazards present during installation/commissioning.

  • Maintain daily verbal and written reports regarding installation and commissioning progress.

  • Provide updates on installation/commissioning progress and schedule revisions.

  • Participate in meetings and discussions with confidentiality regarding incidents and non-conformities.

  • Prepare reports and protocols for scope revision, including handover documentation.

  • Advise on new methods or practices beneficial to the project team.

  • Support during start-up/ramp-up phases to optimize operations.

  • Participate in product compliance tests according to applicable Euro codes.

  • Skills & Qualifications

  • Electrical Commissioning: Strong field experience in electrical commissioning.

  • Electrical Engineering: Solid knowledge of electrical systems.

  • Instrumentation Systems: In-depth understanding of instrumentation systems is critical.

  • Documentation Verification: Ability to read and verify installation and test documentation.

  • Inspection Capabilities: Skilled in performing inspections for mechanical completion (MC) and handover activities.

  • PIMS Familiarity: Experience with PIMS or ability to adapt quickly.

  • Proactive Approach: Detail-oriented mindset comfortable in a site environment.

  • Education & Experience

  • Qualifications: Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation advantageous.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of field experience in electrical and instrumentation systems.
