Construction Coordinator (Civil & Structural)

Location: Grand Prairie, AB - LOA and Truck Allowance provided

Schedule: Monday to Friday - Site Based

Length: 1-year contract

About the Role

We're seeking a Construction Coordinator. This position requires a strong background in civil and structural construction, ideally from candidates who have served as Construction Coordinators or Construction Leads on midstream or heavy industrial projects.

You will oversee field execution, coordinate contractors, ensure structural/civil integrity, and drive safe, high?quality construction progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all civil and structural construction activities .
  • Oversee contractors and trades on site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project plans and specifications.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, structural details, and mechanical installation requirements.
  • Coordinate daily field activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure construction milestones are met.
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and HSE teams to maintain compliance with company standards.
  • Conduct quality checks for civil and structural installations.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in civil and structural construction within oil & gas, midstream, industrial facilities, or pipeline projects.
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel, mechanical installations, and heavy industrial construction methods.
  • Ability to manage site activities, lead contractors, and resolve field issues.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with multi?disciplinary teams.
  • Safety?focused mindset with proven experience working on active construction sites.
  • Proven experience executing brownfield and greenfield construction in live operating facilities.
  • Advanced ability to identify constructability issues and propose safe, practical field solutions.
  • Ability to perform field progress reporting, quantity tracking, and look?ahead planning.
