Join a leading organization in the energy sector as a Mechanical Technician II, where your expertise in maintenance and reliability will contribute to the efficient operation of our Cowboy Cryo Plant.

Role Overview

  • Assist engineers in planning and testing mechanical components and machinery.
  • Support Operations with equipment startup, operation, and repair as needed.
  • Collaborate with I&E and Mechanics for troubleshooting and repair of plant systems.
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates for maintenance work.
  • Participate actively in safety protocols and use of safety tools.
  • Review job packs and identify safety issues prior to work commencement.
  • Prioritize, plan, and execute assigned work within scheduling deadlines.
  • Record technical history as required by the workgroup.
  • Provide feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS.
  • Create permits and notify Supervisor regarding permit issuance.
  • Maintain facility roads and grounds, potentially using heavy equipment.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Reliability: Strong focus on maintaining equipment and tools.
  • Maintenance Expertise: Proven experience in mechanical maintenance.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Effective teamwork with colleagues across various roles.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office suite.

Education & Experience

  • Experience: 10+ years in a closely related field.
  • Certifications: Discipline-appropriate certifications or equivalent professional experience.
  • Additional Certifications: Crane or equipment certifications are a plus.
