Job Summary
This position is responsible for daily oversight of well sites, including monitoring production performance, maintaining equipment functionality, and ensuring safe operating conditions. The role requires regular travel to remote locations, adherence to safety expectations, and performance of both routine and corrective tasks to support reliable field operations. The individual will also be expected to maintain accurate documentation, respond to alarms or abnormal conditions, and coordinate with internal teams to uphold production continuity and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Access and evaluate remote well locations to maintain optimal operating conditions.
- Inspect wells, tanks, meters, separators, compressors, and piping components to identify hazards or irregularities.
- Adjust manual and automated controls to maintain proper flow, pressure, and separation levels.
- Measure and record tank levels to support sales or transfer operations for oil and water.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain compressors, gas lift systems, flowing wells, and related flow equipment.
- Manage chemical injection rates and perform well startup and shutdown procedures.
- Input production data into digital systems and verify accuracy of reported information.
- Support site readiness activities such as walkthroughs, change management steps, and safety reviews before startup.
- Perform regulatory tasks including required testing, facility identification updates, and compliance documentation.
- Update diagrams such as P&IDs and site security layouts for new installations.
- Respond to alarms during off-hours as part of an on?call rotation.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and operational guidelines established by the company.
Basic / Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands?on mechanical work involving equipment use, repair, inspection, or physical operation of machinery.
- Ability to perform tasks such as climbing, bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
- Capability to operate both inside and outside a company?provided vehicle.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and participate in on?call duty.
- Ability to use hand tools for minor equipment repairs.
- Comfortable wearing required safety equipment and working at heights up to 24 feet.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree, trade certification, or higher training in a technical field such as production or process technology.
- Experience in roles that prioritize safety, environmental compliance, and hazard awareness.
- Prior exposure to oil and gas production systems, terminology, or field operations.
- Ability to effectively use computers to enter production information in a timely manner.
- Capacity to recognize and respond appropriately to visual or audible alarms and status indicators.
- Meets driving record standards required for operating a company vehicle.

- Ability to identify abnormal conditions in wells or equipment and take corrective action.
- Skilled in documenting operational events, daily observations, and significant deviations.

- High attention to detail and consistent operational discipline.
