We are seeking a highly experienced and certified NDT Level 3 Leader to lead our Non-Destructive Testing operations within our aerospace Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Brisbane. This role holds approving authority for NDT procedures and personnel qualifications, ensuring compliance with CASA, EASA, and NAS 410 standards. The position is open to both local and expatriate professionals, with relocation and visa sponsorship available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage NDT systems to meet regulatory and customer requirements; provide Level III oversight across regional sites.
  • Support audits (internal/external), manage corrective actions, and assist in developing NDT-related quality and safety systems.
  • Build frameworks for training, approve NDT inspectors, and participate in hiring and mentoring technical staff.
  • Drive operational excellence with a “Quality First” approach; lead initiatives to grow NDT capabilities and markets.
  • Promote and enforce WHS compliance, lead safe work practices, investigate incidents, and ensure hazard reporting.

Requirements

  • Level III qualifications in Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, and Liquid Penetrant Testing; formal quality systems training.
  • Preferably aviation NDT experience; prior exposure to QMS and SMS environments.
  • Strong ability to mentor, train, and manage technical teams; hands-on and proactive in fast-paced settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for audits, training, and cross-site coordination.
  • Ability to obtain clearance to work in Australia; energetic and self-motivated with a strong safety mindset.
