Airswift is seeking an Offshore Startup Process Lead (Full-Time Offshore) to work on an outsourced contract in Georgetown- Guyana , with an Oil and Gas Company.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with Pre-Operations/Operations to deliver RFSU, Commissioning, and First Oil readiness; ensure startup sequencing and SIMOPs are aligned with the overall execution plan.
Drive startup execution offshore for process systems (hydrocarbon and utilities), leading fault-finding and troubleshooting to clear constraints on the critical path.
Coordinate and steward all process readiness requirements (procedures, check sheets, P&IDs/PFDs, isolations/LOTO, PTW, spares/consumables, vendor support); approve and track deviations/waivers as required.
Liaise with client Startup Leads and manage technical queries (TQs/RFIs); ensure interfaces with Operations, Maintenance, Marine, Projects, and Vendors are defined, communicated, and closed.
Ensure compliance with site HSE, process safety, and regulatory requirements; lead trip investigations and near-miss reviews, applying RCA and MoC where needed.
Act as custodian of the What-If register for process startup risks; ensure actions are owned, progressed, and closed, and that learnings are embedded.
Support performance testing and stabilization; verify functional and performance acceptance criteria are met and documented for handover to steady-state operations.
Contribute to daily/weekly reporting, look-aheads, and KPIs; provide clear escalation on risks, mitigations, and resource needs.
Coach and support offshore team readiness (briefings, toolbox talks, procedure walkdowns, and on-the-job training).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in offshore commissioning/startup for FPSOs or large offshore production facilities.
Proven leadership of process systems during the pre-commissioning, commissioning, and first oil production phases.
Solid experience in troubleshooting hydrocarbon processes, gas compression, produced water, water injection, utilities, and gas flaring systems.
Proven application of process safety, PTW (Permit to Work), isolations/LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), SIMOPs (Simultaneous Simultaneous Operations), and offshore incident investigation (RCA).
Solid knowledge of FPSO production systems, separation, stabilization, water treatment, and compression.
Sequencing of startup, , leak testing, scrubbing, and gradual ramp-up of process systems.
Understanding of the DCS/ESD/FGS interface; Loop/function verification and logic verification in coordination with E&I/ICSS (Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering/Interactive Control Systems).
Equipment preparation for rotating machinery (compressors, pumps, turbines), separation systems, and utilities.
Interpretation of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), cause-and-effect analysis, operational procedures, and control reports.
Engineering degree (preferably Chemical/Process) or equivalent technical qualification with significant experience in platform commissioning/start-up.
Valid survival and medical certificates for offshore work; ability to obtain region-specific approvals.
