About the Project
Our client is a major engineering and project management company operating in the energy and offshore sector. As part of a large?scale LNG development, the structural engineering team is strengthening its technical resources to ensure the integrity, consistency, and compliance of offshore steel structure deliverables.
We are recruiting an experienced Offshore Structural Engineering Checker to support the verification and validation activities across the project’s structural scope.
The Role
As an Offshore Structural Engineering Checker, you will ensure the accuracy and compliance of all offshore steel structure documentation within the project.
You will work closely with engineering teams to review drawings, 3D models, and structural details, ensuring alignment with project specifications, offshore standards, and quality requirements.
This function is key to guaranteeing design reliability, technical integrity, and consistent execution throughout the engineering phase
Key Responsibilities
Structural Verification & Review
- Check structural drawings for compliance with project standards, specifications, and best engineering practices
- Review 3D models (S3D or TEKLA) and ensure complete clash?free design
- Validate detailed offshore steel structure design deliverables
Technical Accuracy & Documentation
- Verify detailed quantity take?offs and technical attributes
- Produce and validate clear, accurate, and high?quality technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with project procedures and engineering rules
Compliance & Coordination
- Follow engineering standards, project rules, and QA processes
- Coordinate efficiently with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Contribute to maintaining structural integrity and consistency across all deliverables
Profile
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience as an Offshore Structural Designer/Checker on EPC topside projects using PDMS
- Solid background in offshore steel structure design, drawing verification, and model checking
- Experience or training in E3D is considered a strong benefit
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in S3D or TEKLA (minimum 5 years)
- Proficiency in MicroStation 2D (minimum 5 years)
- Knowledge of offshore module transport constraints
- Understanding of welding symbology and AWS material standards
- Ability to analyse and validate complex structural arrangements
Soft Skills
- Rigorous, methodical, and detail?oriented.
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a project environment
