Join our team as an OPC Site Planner, playing a critical role in managing and optimizing construction schedules for major industrial projects with one of our top clients. Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll collaborate with subcontractors and project teams to ensure seamless planning, progress monitoring, and timely execution of revamping and construction activities in the Oil & Gas sector.

Responsabilities:

  • Develop the Level 3 project management schedule based on activities, units, and subcontracting strategy (main construction schedule), and define work milestones.

  • Ensure consistency between Level 3 project schedule and subcontractors’ schedules; review and challenge these schedules.

  • Compile subcontractors’ schedules into a common site schedule (Level 4).

  • Prepare scheduling and progress data for the monthly progress report and submit to the Site Manager/Construction Manager.

  • Develop and update the progress monitoring system, considering subcontract/trade/discipline, work quantities, and required resources.

  • Manage the weekly site report.

  • Verify on-site consistency between actual and planned progress.

  • Review subcontractor resources versus planned progress and recommend adjustments.

  • Monitor planning and progress trends, anticipate deviations, and alert Site Manager and Project Management.

  • Resolve issues in case of delivery schedule disruptions.

  • Maintain work status, labor forecasts, progress charts, and histograms.

  • Attend coordination meetings with subcontractors to manage mobilization, access, and demobilization dates.

  • Verify completion of work with Construction Management and recommend acceptance and final payment.

  • Generate progress comparison reports and propose schedule revisions or changes in construction logic.

  • Analyze actions to improve progress or execution of selected tasks.

  • Identify and summarize existing or potential problems.

  • Ensure continuous schedule monitoring to compare progress with forecasts.

  • Track external events impacting the schedule and provide analysis to Site Manager.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years

    in industrial construction projects within Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors.

  • Experience in revamping projects under Decree 92 and operating conditions with scheduled shutdowns.

  • Strong background in construction monitoring and integration with site supervision teams.

  • Expertise in subcontractor coordination and activity steering.

  • Proficient in creating and monitoring Level 3 and Level 4 schedules, integrating multiple disciplines.

  • Familiarity with engineering documentation and planning of procurement, shipping, and works contracts.

  • Knowledge of precom, com, start-up activities and associated documentation.

  • Advanced skills in Primavera P6 and MS Project (2016).

  • Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Outlook.

  • Experience managing project and supplier databases (PDB, VDBx, SDBx).
