Role: Operational Readiness Assurance Mechanical Lead

The Operational Readiness Assurance (ORA) Mechanical Lead is responsible for ensuring all mechanical systems, equipment, and associated processes are fully prepared for safe and efficient operation during the transition from construction and commissioning to steady-state operations. This role focuses on mechanical readiness assurance, compliance, and seamless integration with commissioning and start-up teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Readiness Planning:
- Develop and execute mechanical readiness plans aligned with project milestones and operational requirements.
- Assurance & Compliance:
- Conduct readiness reviews, gap analyses, and audits to verify equipment integrity, operability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Interface Management:
- Collaborate with construction, commissioning, operations, and HSE teams to ensure mechanical systems are integrated into readiness activities.
- Risk Management:
- Identify mechanical risks during start-up and early operations; implement mitigation strategies.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain readiness checklists, assurance reports, and progress dashboards for stakeholders.
- Training & Competency:
- Support training programs for operations teams on mechanical systems and maintenance readiness.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the focal point for mechanical readiness assurance with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and vendors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 8–10 years of experience in oil & gas or energy projects, with at least 5 years in mechanical commissioning or operational readiness roles.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (rotating/static equipment, piping, valves) and industry standards.
- Experience with operational readiness frameworks and commissioning processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with Turkish regulatory compliance and local content requirements is an advantage.
