Airswift is looking for an Operations Engineer to support offshore and onshore project execution in Guyana for an engineering and technical services O&G company.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong PPU (Pre?Commissioning, Commissioning & Decommissioning) field experience and hands-on operational expertise.
Only candidates from Guyana or Trinidad & Tobago will be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities
• Support engineering and execution of PPU service operations, including:
– Filling, flushing, pigging, leak testing, hydrotesting, dewatering & conditioning
– Umbilical hydraulic, electrical, and fiber optic testing
– Umbilical commissioning, fluid displacement, bolting, torquing & tensioning
• Prepare operational procedures, risk assessments, and execution plans
• Coordinate and support field operations to ensure safe and efficient execution
• Verify that all equipment is fit for purpose and compliant with project specifications
• Interface with client representatives and internal project teams
• Uphold the company’s safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Support worksite readiness: permits, loadouts, packing lists & equipment preparation
• Maintain accurate field documentation and contribute to close-out reporting
• Assist with Management of Change (MoC) processes
• Provide support to workshop and base operations as required
Requirements
• Engineering degree or mechanical trade/vocational qualification
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, medical) or ability to obtain
• 3+ years of field experience in a supervisory or engineering role within PPU or related services
• Hands-on experience in one or more PPU service lines
• Strong understanding of offshore and onshore operational environments
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
