Position: Operations Lead – Deepwater SURF Project
Location: Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France (with potential relocation to Angola)
Contract Type: 12 month renewable
Start Date: January 2026
Airswift is recruiting on behalf of a major international energy operator for an exciting opportunity to join a flagship deepwater development project in Angola’s Block 20. This multi-billion-dollar initiative is entering its execution phase and requires an experienced Operations Lead to oversee offshore SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate offshore installation campaigns (SURF, hook-up, fiber optics, drilling interfaces).
- Act as the focal point for all COMPANY personnel onboard contractor vessels.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, emergency response plans, and marine operations protocols.
- Interface with contractors, project teams, and marine warranty surveyors.
- Manage SIMOPS, vessel scheduling, and operational risk assessments.
- Oversee daily reporting and offshore progress tracking.
Experience required
- 15+ years’ experience in offshore operations, including SURF installation.
- Proven leadership on construction vessels and multi-disciplinary offshore teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of subsea construction, flowlines, risers, and umbilical's.
- Up-to-date BOSIET and medical certifications.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills in multicultural environments.
