Outfitting Lead – Hull & Marine (Topside)

Port, Turkey (Onshore Scope)


Project Overview:

The Sakarya Gas Field Development is a major offshore energy project in Turkey, with onshore facilities located at Filyos Port. The onshore scope includes topside integration, hull outfitting, and marine systems to support gas processing and export.


Role Purpose:

The Outfitting Lead will be responsible for managing and coordinating all hull and marine outfitting activities for the topside facilities within the onshore scope. This includes overseeing installation of outfitting components, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and supporting construction and commissioning phases.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning & Coordination:

  • Develop and manage outfitting work plans and schedules for hull and marine systems.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of outfitting components.
  • Technical Oversight:

  • Review and approve outfitting drawings, material specifications, and installation procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance during installation and resolve site queries (TQs).
  • Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure all outfitting works comply with project specifications, international standards, and safety requirements.
  • Participate in inspections and verification of outfitting installations.
  • Interface Management:

  • Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and other discipline leads to ensure smooth execution.
  • Coordinate integration of outfitting systems with topside modules and hull structures.
  • Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of progress, changes, and as-built documentation.
  • Prepare reports for management and client updates.


    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum 10+ years experience in hull and marine outfitting within oil & gas or offshore energy projects.
    • Strong knowledge of outfitting systems (ladders, platforms, handrails, piping supports, HVAC ducts, etc.).
    • Familiarity with international standards (IMO, ISO, ASME).
    • Experience in onshore topside integration preferred.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
