Join our team as a PCCSU Mechanical Superintendent, where you will play a critical leadership role supporting the Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-Up (PCCSU) activities of a world-class LNG EPC project. This position offers a unique opportunity to work from early preparation phases through on-site execution, contributing directly to the successful delivery and start-up of a large-scale LNG facility.

  • Promote a strong safety and quality culture across all mechanical commissioning activities.

  • Mobilize and manage commissioning teams, including supervision of subcontractors and specialized service providers (e.g. lube oil flushing, tightening tests).

  • Develop and execute detailed mechanical commissioning work scopes and procedures.

  • Review and support Vendor FAT and SAT activities, attending FATs when required.

  • Prepare commissioning procedures, method statements, manuals, technical instructions and Operation Test Procedures (OTPs).

  • Develop and manage pre-commissioning and commissioning schedules (Level 3 & 4) in close coordination with the planning team and vendor representatives.

  • Ensure availability of all temporary equipment, tools, consumables and spare parts required for mechanical PCCSU activities.

  • Coordinate closely with other disciplines and packages (ICSS, telecom, utilities, vendors, construction and engineering teams) to ensure commissioning requirements are incorporated into design and execution.

  • Lead the transition from Area-based completion to System-based completion, in close cooperation with Completion & Handover teams.

  • Witness mechanical pre-commissioning activities performed by construction subcontractors to ensure smooth mechanical completion and handover.

  • Manage all mechanical interfaces during pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up phases.

  • Ensure accurate red-line and as-commissioned documentation is produced and handed over.

  • Monitor progress against plan, implementing corrective actions where required to protect key contractual milestones, including RFSU (Ready for Start-Up).

  • Provide technical support during start-up, particularly for large rotating equipment and LNG train start-ups.

  • Support training activities for operations and maintenance teams and assist with final handover of the plant to the client.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (Master’s degree preferred) with strong leadership capabilities.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning, with a strong focus on rotating equipment.

  • Proven experience with large rotating machinery (compressors, pumps, turbines, etc.).

  • Previous experience on LNG, gas processing, refinery or large EPC projects is strongly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of system completion, commissioning sequencing and start-up methodologies.

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

  • Proficient in relevant tools and systems including MS Office, Power BI, Bluebeam/PDF tools, 3D model tools and Completion Management Systems (e.g. EasyPlant or equivalent).

  • Practical, well-organized professional with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Prior site experience with a strong awareness of HSE risks, SIMOPS constraints and execution challenges.

  • Willingness to work across Home Office and Site environments for the full duration of the project.
