Airswift has been tasked by a major client looking for a Senior Production Engineer to work in Houston, TX for 1 year with possibility of extension and benefits offered. 

The team

EPI SUB CCI (Competence Center International) has the accountability for delivering competence and capability for the future of our business. The competence center is the organizational home for all subsurface personnel and is responsible for ensuring sufficient capability for prioritized subsurface activity and competence development for all employees.

The position

This company has an extensive partner-operated position with the deep-water US Gulf of America (GoA), delivering both volume and significant value to the E&P International portfolio. Their US GoA activities span the Miocene and Paleogene plays and encompass assets under development, in their early and mid- to late life. As a “One Subsurface” team, they are looking to leverage our play learnings and understanding to bring new insights and technical recommendations to their partnerships, with the aim to maximize value over the life of the fields while reducing risk, subsurface uncertainty and emissions where possible.

 

Some of the key tasks include: 

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams supporting the producing assets and projects in development with the aim of ensuring optimum value creation as well as risk identification and mitigation

  • Support Operations team through daily surveillance to ensure safe and optimized production as well as the planning and execution of well testing as required for allocation and regulatory requirements

  • Participate in well planning work, with a particular focus on artificial lift and completion solutions

  • Well monitoring through use of well hydraulic modeling and pressure transient test analysis

  • Identify opportunities and provide input to decision making with regards to well interventions

  • Review and validate/endorse operators’ and partners production technology work in accordance with Company's requirements

  • Manage and run integrated asset modeling including providing lift curves for reservoir simulation 

  • Contribute to production reporting, forecasting and business planning

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies and field operating models in close collaboration with subsurface, facilities, and partner teams to maximize asset value.

  • Strengthen relationships with internal and external partners by actively leading and influencing key decision points, including evaluation and progression of future investment opportunities.

 For this position, we are also looking for people who:

  • Have a degree in Petroleum Engineering (or directly related field)

  • 10 -15 years of experience within the oil and gas industry, preferably with increasing responsibilities within asset follow up and/or field development

  • Experience from offshore assets is required, in either an operator or partner capacity

  • Broad knowledge of oil & gas business –both technical and operational

  • Knowledge and experience in well and production monitoring will be beneficial (Prosper, Saphir, EC, PI, OFM)

  • Ability to understand and effectively handle complex situations that may have full value chain impacts
