Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Stress Engineer to support the detailed engineering phase of a major project. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in piping stress analysis, a solid understanding of industry standards, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed stress analysis for high?temperature piping systems using both industry experience and commercial software tools.
- Apply project-specific requirements and ensure complete compliance throughout project execution.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely review and verification of isometric drawings.
- Perform FEA assessments on specialised piping components.
- Analyse piping systems for both new developments and existing facilities across Greenfield and Brownfield environments.
- Work independently or within a team, both in the home office and internationally when required.
- Communicate efficiently with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support coordinated project delivery.
- Support multi-centre execution strategies across global offices.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (ASME B31.3, API, BS, EN).
- Experience working on major EPC projects and Brownfield modifications.
- Proficient in Caesar II or similar commercial piping stress analysis software.
- Working understanding of PED regulations.
- Experience creating and applying project-specific procedures.
- Familiarity with vibration mitigation techniques for piping systems.
- Proactive, forward?thinking mindset with a willingness to challenge and improve existing processes.
- Willingness to share knowledge with engineers across Leatherhead and other global offices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Chartered Engineer status is advantageous.
