Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Stress Engineer to support the detailed engineering phase of a major project. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in piping stress analysis, a solid understanding of industry standards, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed stress analysis for high?temperature piping systems using both industry experience and commercial software tools.
  • Apply project-specific requirements and ensure complete compliance throughout project execution.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure timely review and verification of isometric drawings.
  • Perform FEA assessments on specialised piping components.
  • Analyse piping systems for both new developments and existing facilities across Greenfield and Brownfield environments.
  • Work independently or within a team, both in the home office and internationally when required.
  • Communicate efficiently with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support coordinated project delivery.
  • Support multi-centre execution strategies across global offices.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (ASME B31.3, API, BS, EN).
  • Experience working on major EPC projects and Brownfield modifications.
  • Proficient in Caesar II or similar commercial piping stress analysis software.
  • Working understanding of PED regulations.
  • Experience creating and applying project-specific procedures.
  • Familiarity with vibration mitigation techniques for piping systems.
  • Proactive, forward?thinking mindset with a willingness to challenge and improve existing processes.
  • Willingness to share knowledge with engineers across Leatherhead and other global offices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Engineer status is advantageous.
