Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work, and optimization of the design within the scope of the specifications, in compliance with international codes, company and industry standards and regulations.
You are responsible for planning and completing activities and deliverables within agreed timeframe, as well as ensuring effective management of system and technical interfaces between company, shipyard and vendors.
You ensure that your Scope of Work is delivered in accordance with both the contractual requirements and company’s internal requirements, including the technical review and validation of piping material specifications, valve specifications, special item specifications and related engineering deliverables for hull vessel projects.
You contribute to engineering quality and technical assurance through the review of key documents such as P&IDs, valve lists, special item lists, calculation reports, specifications and procedures to ensure compliance with Vessel Outline Specifications, project requirements and applicable international standards.
You coordinate with vendors and shipyards in accordance with contractual requirements and SBM internal processes, including supporting commercial estimated , reviewing technical agreements, assessing vendor deviations and ensuring alignment with project technical requirements.
You support vendor execution phases through the review of vendor engineering documentation and manufacturing records to ensure compliance with agreed specifications, quality standards and certification requirements.
You ensure applicable lessons learned are used, understanding the change impact within and across project system boundaries, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering practices.
You coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties, in accordance with contractual requirements and company’s internal requirements.
Details Scope of work:
Engineering Review & Technical Compliance
Review piping material specifications, manual valve specifications in accordance with Vessel Outline Specification (VOS), project requirements, and applicable international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, BV, ABS).
Review shipyard piping detail design deliverables. Including but limited to below:
Piping flushing procedure
Bolt torque procedure
Piping stress analysis reports
Piping wall thickness, branch reinforcement calc.
Piping construction standard
Review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) for MPF and non?MPF vessel piping systems.
Review valve lists and special item lists to ensure compliance with project and class requirements.
Ensure all piping materials and components meet applicable classification and regulatory requirements.
Procurement & Technical Documentation Review
Coordinate technical clarifications between Shipyard during procurement stages.
Review Technical Agreements (TA) between Shipyard and Vendors.
Evaluate vendor technical deviations and provide technical recommendations to support procurement decisions.
Vendor Package Engineering
Act as Package Engineer for piping items( valves, special items ) following vendor award.
Review vendor document submissions to ensure compliance with approved TA and project standards.
Review vendor documentation including, but not limited to:
General Arrangement Drawings (GAD)
Material Test Certificates (MTC)
Pressure test reports
Painting and coating reports
FAT procedure/record
Pressure test procedure/record
Inspection and test reports
Quality & Inspection Coordination
Ensure vendor documentation complies with applicable international codes, standards, and class requirements.
