Role Overview
- Fabrication Oversight: Supervise piping fabrication, welding, and assembly activities at the yard.
- Quality & Testing: Monitor welding procedures, NDT activities, and dimensional checks.
- Coordination: Interface with QA/QC, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of fabricated spools.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce HSE standards during fabrication and handling operations.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of fabrication progress, welding logs, and inspection reports.
Skills & Qualifications
- Piping: Strong knowledge of piping fabrication and assembly processes.
- Fabrication: Expertise in overseeing fabrication activities and ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Welding Processes: Familiarity with various welding techniques and procedures.
- NDT Techniques: Understanding of non-destructive testing methods.
- ASME B31.3: Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
- API: Familiarity with API standards applicable to piping systems.
- ISO: Understanding of ISO standards related to fabrication and quality assurance.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years experience in piping supervision within oil & gas or offshore energy projects.
