Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Planning Specialist to support a major energy infrastructure venture. The role focuses on managing and integrating project schedules across engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phases, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain construction and commissioning schedules aligned with approved project scope.
- Review and validate contractor project control procedures and progress reports.
- Monitor EPC contractor schedules for logic, detail, and interface accuracy.
- Integrate subcontractor, vendor, and supplier schedules into the overall EPC timeline.
- Conduct schedule risk analysis using Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis software.
- Evaluate project changes for schedule impact and incorporate approved changes.
- Advise on potential schedule issues and implement corrective actions.
- Lead periodic progress review meetings with contractors and report status to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Law, Accounting, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project scheduling and controls for EPC oil & gas capital projects.
- At least 5 years of site/field scheduling experience.
- Strong knowledge of project controls principles and scheduling methodologies.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 (version 18 or above) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
