Job Title: Principal Marine Engineer

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Marine Engineer to lead concept, front-end, and detailed design activities for major port and marine infrastructure projects. This role requires technical leadership, design expertise, and compliance with international standards to deliver safe and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee design activities for marine and port infrastructure, including:
Jetties, dolphins, quay structures
Dredge layouts, breakwaters, and revetments
Ensure designs meet project specifications and international codes.
Apply principles of shipping and navigation in design development.
Design berthing and mooring infrastructure.
Perform pile/quay wall design and apply geotechnical principles.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Maritime Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum 15 years of professional experience in marine and port infrastructure design.
Proven track record in leading complex marine engineering projects.
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and structural design for marine environments.
Familiarity with international design codes and standards, including:
BS6349, EC2, EC3, EC7, AISC, ACI318.
Preferred Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to deliver projects within schedule and budget constraints.
