Job Purpose
- Advise and support process engineering activities during EPC and startup phases until handover to permanent asset, ensuring project deliverables meet operations expectations in terms of safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability over the facility design life cycle.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Actively participate and provide process engineering support for RCFA, HAZOP, FRA, HAZID, SIL verification, and process safety/reliability issues.
- Support development of Standard Operating Procedures for new projects.
- Develop and implement process surveillance tools for operations assets to ensure safe, reliable, and optimum production, including troubleshooting and escalation of threats.
- Participate in system completions processes for walk-down prior to commissioning and startup (e.g., witness chemical/catalyst loading).
- Maintain issue register to identify and resolve critical issues, including new technology risks impacting reliability, availability, and cybersecurity.
- Provide technical input to other disciplines/functions to support overall business objectives.
- Support smooth completion of project tie-in requirements for all systems under responsibility.
- Support high-risk commissioning activities for complex, large-scale projects through system surveillance, tuning/optimization, and advisory support to operations and maintenance.
Person Specification – Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience
- 8 years’ experience in an oil and gas environment.
Technical and Business Skills
- Ability to work and make decisions under highly stressful conditions.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong leadership and people skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
