One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Procurement Assistant to work on a 12-month assignment in their
Facilities in Bartlesville, OK.
Summary:
The position is responsible for supporting procurement and project teams within the Tank COE. The role includes identifying purchasing needs, creating material and service requisitions, and coordinating with Procurement, Category Management, vendors, and Accounts Payable. The professional will manage change orders, resolve purchase order and invoice issues, and ensure documentation accuracy. Additional responsibilities include monitoring project documentation, assisting with SAP system error resolution, ensuring proper cost allocation, and supporting project leads during project closure activities.
Responsabilities:
- Work closely with Procurement Business Partner and Project Managers to identify purchasing needs for Tank COE projects.
- Create all requisitions for materials and services for Tank COE projects.
- Support and manage change order requests; communicate with Project Leads and buyers to verify proper documentation is included and POs are updated correctly.
- Support Project Leads with purchase order and invoice issues, communicating with vendor and Accounts Payable to identify cause of issue and determine proper resolution.
- Coordinate with Procurement Business Partner and Category Management when vendor additions and/or changes are needed.
- Coordinate with Procurement to verify that requisitions are quickly converted to purchase orders and confirming with vendors purchase order receipt.
- Ensure costs are settled correctly, scope and instructions are fit for purpose and applicable policies and procedures are referenced.
- Review and monitor Project documentation to verify accuracy and validity.
- Provide support to Project Leads and PCLs in determining cause and resolution of SAP system errors.
- Assist Project Leads with project closures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand related drawings and technical documents
- 3 or more years of experience in maintenance via SAP or similar systems
- Comfortable collaborating remotely via MS Teams/Webex
- Must work onsite at the company's office in downtown Bartlesville.
- Associate's degree or higher
- 5 or more years of experience in maintenance via SAP or similar systems
- Experience in SAP or similar Maintenance Management System
- Experience in Procurement activities
- Experience supporting multiple projects
- Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of pipeline and terminal equipment
