We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source for Procurement Lead specialising in offshore compression. This is a long-term contract role working on a residential basis 6-days per week / 10 hours per day. Please see details below:
Title: Procurement Lead

Job Purpose:
Monitor and expedite all Contractor procurement activities for the NFPS Compression including the LLI. Works to assure a Procurement & Materials program that meets the needs of the project, is cost-effective, expedient, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities:
- Reports to Head of Procurement – Shared Resources, with functional relationship with COMP Business Manager.
- Establish and maintain alignment with the PMT on project procurement needs, objectives and requirements, through effective compliance with project procurement processes and procedures.
- Establish project coordination procedures for procurement, through the review and approval of all procurement related procedures including applicable tools and templates including but not limited to; PSE, MSR, SSR and others that may from time to time be developed for use in the project.
- Work with Contractor to develop and implement overall and individual purchasing plans (seek input from Project Sourcing Specialists as appropriate).
- Be responsible for the management of procurement of designated materials and for ensuring that Contractor executes same in accordance with the Contract, relevant project procedures and guidelines to ensure complete compliance with contractual requirements, including cost adjustments where applicable.
- Prepare and seek approval from the appropriate authorities for any deviations from the procurement plan, policies and procedure in consultation with the relevant teams (technical, planning, operations, and Supply team) for all aspects of procurement including cost adjustments, change orders and claims.
- Report project procurement activities including progress, issues and concerns and steps taken to mitigate impact and negative consequences.
- Implement effective expediting mechanism to ensure timely delivery of all packages, equipment and material in line with the project schedule, including appropriate logistics to support all planned deliveries.
- Plan for effective use of Contractor’s materials management system to ensure efficient management of delivered materials to eliminate issues associated with poor material management and lack of material traceability and shortages.
- Interface with project Spare Parts Coordinator for planning, processes, alignment and procurement of all project spares and ensure timely delivery to achieve project RSPL objectives.
- Assist Quality and Contractor in evaluation of prospective vendors and the review and approval of critical vendor documents. team, shall expedite the advanced review critical documents and queries where necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Law, Engineering, Accounting, Business Management/administration or commercial disciplines.
Knowledge and/or Experience:
12 years diversified oil and gas operations experience, out of which 5 years spent as procurement lead in major projects. Experience in handling reimbursable procurement for major EPC contract would be preferred.
Technical and Business Skills:
Incumbent must be able to effectively and efficiently execute the role of Procurement Lead independently at what ever location he/she may be deployed. Consequently, additional requirements are as follows:
