Production Subsea & Inlet Panel Operator

Position Overview

This position is responsible for monitoring and controlling all operations related to Subsea and Inlet systems from the DCS panel, ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient operations for LNG production targets. The role supports HSE policies and provides technical leadership in supporting field operators, troubleshooting, and emergency management while ensuring compliance and system integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership & Strategy

  • Ensure safety of personnel, environmental protection, and technical integrity of all equipment within area of responsibility, adhering strictly to company HSE rules and procedures.
  • Support and promote the continual improvement of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Identify and report system faults, safety problems, or emergency situations and participate in their resolution through active involvement in safety and technical reviews.

Quality Compliance & Oversight

  • Manage and document all inhibitions of plant safety devices, ensuring proper follow-up and compliance until devices return to normal active status.
  • Execute roles as defined by the Company Work Permit System, including PTW opening and closing, and implementation of SIMOPS management plans.
  • Participate in audits, HAZOPs, and risk assessments, contributing to the investigation and analysis of near misses, incidents, and accidents.

Project Execution Support

  • Monitor and control Subsea and Inlet parameters to maintain smooth operations, achieving production targets in compliance with standard operating windows.
  • Support Inlet Operators, ensuring coordination between plant activities and providing technical guidance as needed.
  • Assist in plant and equipment performance tests, data collection, and analysis during routine operations and troubleshooting exercises.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Record and report deviations in process parameters, major events, and corrective actions taken during shift operations.
  • Document all activities related to the inhibition and reactivation of plant safety systems.
  • Perform thorough handovers and log all key events to ensure seamless transition between shifts.

Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Attend and apply mandatory HSE and technical training and participate in regular refresher sessions as required on-site.
  • Continuously pursue personal and technical development, seeking to broaden skills and mentor future panel operators in DCS and ICSS architecture.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, such as alarm reduction, by active participation in working groups.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or higher education in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent qualification aligned with international standards.
  • Minimum 10 years of specific production experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar panel operator position for LNG Train or Subsea/Wells operations.

Key Competencies

  • Expert knowledge of DCS panel operations and safety shutdown systems (ESD, ESD1, ESD2, EDP1, EDP2).
  • High competency in troubleshooting process problems, system upsets, and root-cause analysis.
  • Strong command of HSE standards, Permit to Work systems, and emergency response protocols within the oil and gas sector.
