Join our innovative team as a Project Controls Coordinator, where you'll play a crucial role in managing and improving project efficiency and financial oversight. Your detailed and proactive approach will support our project management practices and help streamline cost controls and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Project Managers to develop a comprehensive Work Breakdown Structure that facilitates cost control during project execution. Ensure it aligns with accounting requirements for asset creation and project closeout.
- Provide expert guidance and support to Engineering Cost Associates, ensuring that invoices are correctly coded against appropriate work orders and project task codes. Review invoices meticulously against vendor-supplied backup information.
- Prepare monthly cost tools (PCMR reporting), financial reports, and comparative capital cost estimates. Your insights will support project financial transparency and facilitate informed decision-making at every level.
- Timely preparation and documentation of project change orders. Review weekly project reporting and offer insights from a project controls perspective, reporting findings to the Project Controls Supervisor.
- Partner with Project Managers to build robust monthly forecasts, determining spend and providing technical project controls support. Collaborate closely with the planner/scheduler to analyze monthly data.
- Conduct detailed variance spend analysis for senior and project management review, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
- Work with field cost analysts, if assigned, to prepare and control construction cost reporting effectively.
- Engage directly with the PMO during project health checks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Facilitate smooth audit processes by working closely with auditors on project-related inquiries and compliance checks.
