Location: Barrow Island (rotational site-based)
Roster: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (11-hour days)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Field Project Engineer / Construction Engineer to join the owners’ team for a major LNG project on Barrow Island. This role is critical to the successful execution of new and upgraded onshore facilities and involves working closely with the construction management team to deliver project outcomes safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee safe and timely execution of construction and pre-commissioning activities.
- Support delivery of Civils & Underground (CUG) and Above Ground Installation (AGI) scopes through construction completion and commissioning.
- Collaborate with construction contractors and LNG plant operations to manage SIMOPs, permit-to-work systems, and interface requirements.
- Liaise with Contracts, Logistics, Materials Management, and Project Controls to ensure smooth progress.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain schedule and cost targets.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Engineering degree or equivalent with 10+ years’ experience.
- Proven background in construction engineering, preferably including electrical packaged equipment installation and pre-commissioning/commissioning.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in construction environments, capital projects, and brownfield work is advantageous.
- Ability to prioritize and drive team success under challenging conditions.
