Job Title: Project Manager/Process Lead - LNG Trading
Role Overview:
The Business Excellence (BE) department plays a strategic role in enabling continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and organizational performance across the QE Marketing Directorate (VM). BE is responsible for cultivating a culture of excellence by optimizing processes, driving workflow automation, strengthening quality standards, and ensuring alignment with strategic corporate objectives.
As the Organizational Integrator within the Marketing Directorate (VM), BE facilitates effective cross?functional collaboration and ensures inter?departmental alignment.
The BE - Project Manager/Process Lead contributes to this mission by leading, supporting, and coordinating strategic and operational initiatives across the full Trade Lifecycle—from pre?deal activities through deal execution and management, to post?deal processes—serving the Company and all affiliated functions.
The role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT, and transformation teams to ensure processes are well-designed, implemented, and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity of transformation priorities and effective execution of initiatives from inception to delivery.
Develop deep expertise in company mission, market environment, regulatory landscape, customer needs, and trading operations to inform high?quality analysis and decision?making.
Drive continuous improvement through process standardization, simplification, automation, and structured retrospectives, driving efficiency and scalability across all functions.
Lead the design, documentation, and optimization of end-to-end business processes across functions
Identify process inefficiencies, gaps, risks, and opportunities for automation or simplification
Contribute to the development of the Digital & Data Transformation Roadmap, advancing Company vision.
Identify high?risk areas and critical path dependencies, develop mitigation plans, and support organizational adoption through structured change management.
Drive the development of an agile delivery organization in partnership with IT, shaping capabilities, frameworks, and operating principles. Define criteria for MVP delivery and ensure clarity between standard and bespoke solutions.
Decision Making Authority:
Decisions and recommendations made in this role directly influence Company transformational roadmap and have a substantial impact on operational efficiency and organizational performance.
Operates with a high degree of autonomy in shaping methodologies, process toolsets, delivery frameworks, flexible resourcing models, and negotiation strategies for third?party services.
Drives the identification and promotion of remedial actions related to risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure compliance with policies and adherence to delivery commitments.
Context / Special Features / Challenges:
Work performed is of a sensitive nature, is performed under high pressure, strict deadlines, high workload periods, and within protocols required.
Efficient and effective coordination across Company departments, managing expectations and promoting transparency.
Other requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in commodities trading, ideally with leading IOCs, NOCs, trading houses. LNG experience is highly advantageous (preferred)
Broad end?to?end, multi?disciplinary understanding of commodities trading, shipping, and finance (preferred)
Strong hands?on process expertise, including the creation of data and process maps and the design or documentation of operational procedures (preferred)
Comprehensive Front?to?Back Trade Lifecycle knowledge, with specialization in at least one area e.g., Physical Trading, Financial Trading, Shipping, Portfolio Optimization (preferred)
Strong passion for technology and process improvement as key enablers of performance within a trading environment (preferred)
High energy / strong communication skills (both verbally and in writing / presentations) is mandatory
