Position Overview
The Project Quality Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining all Quality Management requirements throughout the full lifecycle of a major Oil & Gas/LNG project. This role ensures that both CONTRACTOR and COMPANY Quality standards are achieved during Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, and Commissioning phases. The Project Quality Manager will lead the project’s Quality Organization, oversee compliance, and drive continuous improvement. This position reports directly to the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Leadership & Strategy
Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan and associated procedures.
Define the structure, resources, and competencies required within the Quality Organization.
Provide Quality leadership across cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Quality Compliance & Oversight
Ensure adherence to CONTRACTOR and COMPANY Quality Management System requirements.
Oversee audits, assessments, verifications, and inspections across all project phases.
Ensure timely closure of non-conformances, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
Monitor and verify compliance of subcontractors and suppliers.
Project Execution Support
Support Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction teams to ensure Quality control measures are embedded and maintained.
Review and approve Quality documentation, including ITPs, NCR reports, and MRBs.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve Quality-related issues.
Reporting & Performance Management
Maintain and report Key Quality Metrics and KPIs for project leadership.
Lead Quality review meetings and report performance trends, root cause analyses, and risk areas.
Prepare Quality reports for management and regulatory authorities as required.
Training & Continuous Improvement
Deliver Quality training to project personnel and subcontractor teams to reinforce standards and expectations.
Identify lessons learned throughout project execution and implement improvement initiatives.
Promote a strong Quality culture across all project phases and work locations.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 20 years of experience in Quality Management within the Oil & Gas or LNG sector.
Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience managing Quality activities across large-scale EPC projects.
Previous exposure to LNG or large-scale energy megaprojects preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multinational teams across multiple sites and disciplines.
