Job Title: Projects Methods & Reporting Engineer
Role Overview
The Projects Methods & Reporting Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting procurement strategy execution, performance monitoring, and reporting across multiple project packages. This position serves as the focal point for the development and implementation of Major Projects Management System Procedures, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Implement and refine procurement strategies tailored to individual project packages.
- Support procurement engineers in vendor engagement and expediting activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor procurement cycles and analyze trends to identify performance improvements.
- Evaluate vendor performance and provide insights into market conditions.
- Assist in tendering activities and ensure alignment with procurement strategy and timelines.
- Oversee contractor reporting to ensure compliance and performance standards.
SAP System Optimization
- Continuously improve SAP processes within company major projects department.
Provide technical expertise in SAP modules including:
- Financial Accounting (FI)
- Controlling (CO)
- Materials Management (MM)
- Plant Maintenance (PM)
- Work Order Management
Organizational Methods & Reporting
Develop and maintain internal company major projects department procedures under company CMS, including templates and tools for:
Communication & Documentation
Training & Development
Gather lessons learned and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years in the upstream oil & gas industry.
- At least 5 years in a similar role within a large oil & gas organization.
- Strong familiarity with project procedures and management system standards.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Knowledge of Project Management Standards and ISO 9001.
